Hey everyone!
Ryan here. First off, I’d like to thank everyone for making our re-opening so smooth. It has been so great to see everyone’s (masked) faces in the center!
Today on the blog, I want to share with you all my favorite podcasts. If I have ever referenced a podcast in any of our conversations, this was it. The Muscle Intelligence Podcast hosted by Ben Pakulski has been such an incredible source of information (and more importantly inspiration) for me. Fun fact: This is the podcast where I first heard of OsteoStrong nearly 3 years ago.
A quick background on Ben for those who have never heard his name before: Ben Pakulski (B-Pak) is a former professional bodybuilder. He competed at an elite level and was one of the best in the world during his career. Since his retirement, he has shifted his focus to optimizing his health. He doesn’t hide the fact that he was “enhanced” during his career as a bodybuilder, rather he understands how hard he was on his health while pursuing his goal to become the best in the world.
One thing he has always preached (and what first caught my attention) was his mindful, scientific approach to exercise. He has taken that same drive and mindset to optimizing his health and to seeking out and providing the tools for others to do the same.
In the episode I?m sharing, Ben is joined by Dr. Nasha Winters, the author of The Metabolic Approach to Cancer. The entire episode is packed full of valuable information but what made me want to share this episode, specifically, was their chat toward the end about bio-hacking. OsteoStrong and the bio-hacking community has developed incredible technology to efficiently improve our health, which is exciting, but as Dr. Nasha puts it, “we learned these bio-hacks from something.” That something is nature!?
There are so many simple things we can do to improve our health and our lives that are readily available to us; gratitude, breath, walking, sunshine, sitting barefoot in the grass. These are all simple, foundational elements of living a healthier life and they are completely FREE! Below you can find a link to the podcast and some pictures from my “bio-hacking” trip ???? to Taylors Falls last weekend.
Here is the specific episode. You can also find the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, etc. Just search Muscle Intelligence.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Taylors Falls. Thank you everyone who suggested going there!
